Taare Zameen Par
Ok to be honest I am an Shah Rukh Khan Fan and my main intention to see the film was to laugh at the mistakes i hoped Aamir Khan would make in his debut film as a director but I agree I was wrong.
Each and every one of us know that Aamir has this problem of being a perfectionist but what you guys probably don’t know is that this was the main reason that caused him to direct and act in Tzp. No this wasn’t supposed to be directed by him but the scripter and creative director Amol Gupte who spent 2 years on scripting this film. Aamir was only supposed to produce it but over differences they seperated but Amol felt no one would be able to give it a better plat form and hence....
Anyways who cares in the end the product TZP is nothing short of an Oscar winner. So now to the story it is about an eight year old boy Ishaan Awasthi whose world is filled with colors and everything that the "real world" considers unimportant. Its his 2nd year in the 3rd grade and yet he just doesn’t seem to get anything be it any subject. From his parents view he is some one who is lazy and uncaring hence he is packed off to boarding school. Things are no different here either and to add to it he has the trauma of leaving his entire family there thereby giving up all hope on life. However things start to change when a temporary Art teacher Ram Shankar Nikumbh [Aamir Khan] arrives. He soon realizes that there is something wrong with Ishaan and sets outs to find out for once and all what it is and how to help this is what TZP is about.
The background music gels with the movie and so do the song's but my personal favorite is "Jame Raho" as i feel it has been brilliantly executed visually that is however special mention should be given to "Maa" as the song moves you and makes you sympathize with Ishaan.
The reason the film does so well is because it delivers a strong message that sometimes children are not at fault. However this is not the only message that is delivered through the film . It goes on to show the dreadful Indian way fo studying (mugging).
Ok now off to the performances I dint feel that any one was better than the another but obviously the one who stole the show was our Darsheel Safari who played the role of Ishaan and other actors who stood out are respectively Aamir Khan, Tisca Chopra,Ishaans brother and best friend. Also don't be too surprised if Tzp emerges as this years biggest blockbuster or even goes on to win an oscar.
PS:Can't believe Aamir pulled of the Mohawk and the below videos are making of the film
